I hope this Christmas season finds you falling deeper into the One we celebrate. Part of me always looks forward to the sparkle of lights and the soft sounds of Christmas music; stockings evoke memories of childhood, and ornaments remind me of years past with my loved ones. But when all that is stripped away, this season, every season, is about Jesus. He is our savior, our healer, our redeemer, our strength, our comfort. He is our joy. He is the greatest gift we never knew we needed; a gift given out of love and sacrifice. A gift we can all receive. Above all other things this Christmas season, I pray you know and rest in the grace of that gift.

Now, in the spirit of gift giving, I would like to give a gift as well. Mine isn’t nearly as life giving or soul quenching, but I hope it will be encouraging and uplifting, even entertaining.
