I was reading in Romans 1 last week and thinking about this writing journey; mostly you – anyone who has come to read any of my writing. I’d like to share my thoughts with you.
Romans 1:17b “The righteous will live by faith.” Do I live by faith? Oh boy, do I ever! Does that make me righteous? I don’t know; I can’t really be the judge of such a thing. I do know that it makes me broken and surrendered. It makes me feel cared for and not alone and hopeful. In the midst of hospice care for my husband who is struggling through stage-IV colon cancer and decreasing liver function, living by faith is all I’ve got. And all I want to do is share that faith with you. I join in the saying of verse 11 in that, “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong – that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each others faith.” Oh, I long for that – to encourage you to #LiveYourFaithBoldly and to #LoveOnPurpose. It’s why I write and why I share.
I hope and pray that a nugget of truth and encouragement is gleaned as you read. There is no situation in which God is not present, where His comfort and strength are waning, or His power absent. Be encouraged, Dear Reader, to run into His arms of love and strength and devotion and encouragement and direction. His word has power and clarity, even in the cloudiest of times. #Discover, afresh or for the first time, the One who wants only good things for you, for “you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” (verse 6).
